Front End Software Developer CTT
As a front end software developer in the CTT team, you will work in an agile team building user facing web applications to support the growing activity oriented around user community translation. You will also take part in shaping the future of globalization by contributing to new initiatives oriented toward the real time delivery of global content on mobile and tablet devices.
About the team
The Collaborative Translation Technology team (CTT) is a software development group whose purpose is to design and build tools and services supporting new and innovative approaches to Globalization. We are at the very heart of the industry, collaborating with experts and industry veterans in defining new standards for delivering multiscreen and cloud based applications to a global audience.
The main product currently developed by the CTT team is an online platform that enables our users to contribute to the translation of Adobe software in new languages. Since our offering is directly targeted at our most involved customers, one of the primary goals is to offer them the best experience possible.
Responsibilities
- Work together with other members of the team on front end software development tasks, including design & architecture, coding and troubleshooting software
- Interact with product management to refine feature requirements and write feature specifications
- Collaborate closely with Quality Engineers to ensure the product meets the required quality and performance standards
- Participate in the operation and maintenance of the service
- If required, collaborate with other functional groups or teams to ensure project success
Skills
Must have
- Strong programming background with 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Understanding of object-oriented analysis and design principles, design patterns and computer science fundamentals
- Knowledge and experience with modern JavaScript/AJAX, HTML and CSS
- Familiarity with software engineering process & best practices (unit testing, build automation, etc.), preferably in an Agile context
- Passion for innovation, desire for learning and self-improvement
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
Nice to have
- Experience with various JS frameworks
- Knowledge of server side development and operations, especially Java technologies (JEE, Spring, Hibernate) and web application servers
- Familiarity with mobile application development (iPhone, Android)
