Intotdeauna mi-am dorit sa fac ceva mai mult pentru lumea din jurul meu, si personal, nu intotdeauna reusesc. Adobe mi-a oferit sansa unui inceput in directia asta. De fapt, Dia si Irina sunt cele care s-au implicat activ in actiunea asta care stiu ca reprezinta doar inceputul. Unul dintre factorii care m-au determinat sa aleg Adobe in urma cu trei luni a fost si partea de Community Impact. Desi la nivel de corporatie in Romania nu exista o strategie in directia asta, se dovedeste inca o data ca oamenii sunt cei care sunt promotorii practicilor bune. Sediul central al Adobe din San Jose, California, a fost desemnat drept cladirea cea mai ecologica din Statele Unite ale Americii, in anul 2006.

Bineinteles cu suportul lui Alexandru, si nu numai, Adobe Romania a inceput timid o colaborare cu Copacul de Hartie pentru reciclarea hartiei la noul birou de la Anchor Plaza. Mi-as dori ca in toamna sa mergem cu totii, toti cei 50-60 de oameni si sa plantam acei copaci care ne mai dau o gura de oxigen in plus. Pana atunci insa, imi aduc si de acasa reviste vechi, cursuri de facultate, pliante si brosuri si le multumesc fetelor pentru start si pentru follow-up. Nu pot decat sa imi doresc sa continuam in aceeasi directie si de ce nu, sa ne implicam in cat mai multe astfel de activitati.

    I can’t hold my self any longer. This is pure cheese.

    People from all over the world, stop what you’re doing and take a closer look. Adobe is everywhere. Now that Superman is dead, someone else should stand tall again and save the others: SuperAdobe. I promise that once I get my hands on a valid Adobe Photoshop CS3 license (I will buy it of course …) I will draw a nice costume.

    The earth is doomed and it is clear as the day light that Captain Planet couldn’t handle himself such a task. But now, with SuperAdobe, the evil will not stand a chance.

    Go Adobe.

    I am definitelly not angry. If this is just your way of commenting, my post is just my way to make some people aware of the fact that each of us is responsible of doing something for the planet, each of us is a Captain Planet. If it’s Adobe, it’s because here we found support in doing this, if it wasn’t, we wouldn’t have written about it. In the end, everything is a matter of choice, yours, mine and ours.

    Hey Aura,
    ma bucur de initiativa cu Copacul de Hartie.Felicitari! Este un lucru extraordinar. Am o amica la BDO Romania (Audit/conta)care a venit cu aceeasi idee si acum toata hartie de la ei este reciclata de Copacul de Hartie. BDO arunca tone de hartie zilnic!Acum este altfel. Cred ca initiativele de acest gen, ce poate par mici, de fapt fac diferentele mari. Keep up!
    ps. Am mentionat si eu cateva lucruri in postul Save the Planet de pe blogul personal.

    The link to the “Copacul de hartie” points to the environment page on Adobe web site. The correct link is to http://www.copaculdehartie.ro/. The web site is only in Romanian for the moment, but maybe they will change this.

    In fact, some of the posts here are very funny. Corporate stuff is a great source of fun.

    Here is a free advice: make some posts about the code you write, interesting stuff… Not all about code, but at least 40%.
